Position: Quantity Surveyor

Requirement:

  • Degree / Diploma in Quantity Survey or equivalent
  • Min 3 years’ working experience in construction industry
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Knowledge in using IFCA software will be an advantage
  • Possess own transport

Responsibilities

  • Tender services including compilation, tender analysis, negotiations, and recommendations
  • Preparation of Letter of Award/contract documentation to subcontractor
  • Review of the contents of main contract/sub-con document
  • Assist to source and recommend reliable subcontractors
  • Preparation of monthly progress payment claim to clients and from subsidiary company to mother company
  • Liaison with consultant Superintendent Officer, main contractor Quantity Surveyor to come out with payment certificates
  • Following up with clients’ Finance Department for payment release
  • Monitor costs against budget and monthly financial report preparation
  • Periodic valuations of the work in progress to evaluate contractors' BQ/stage payments, both for subsidiary and mother companies.
  • Valuation and agreement of costs of variations
  • Attend site meetings when required
  • Financial advice throughout the project
  • Post mortem cost analysis
  • Preparation and settlement of the Final Account

And, you meet these requirements:

  • SPM / Diploma holders are encouraged to apply
  • Min. 1 year working experience as clerical staff (receptionist, admin, etc)
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia

Your duties shall as below but not limited to:

  • Reception duties such as answer incoming calls, transfer calls, sorting and filing of incoming mails, checking/forwarding incoming fax, dispatch and cleaner work arrangement, office cleanliness, etc.
  • Administrative duties such as upkeep of office equipment, renewal of licenses/road tax, application of permits/licenses, stationery allocation and ordering, data entry and generate of documents using Accounting software, handling of documents in compliance with ISO 9001 requirement
  • Support duties such as documents preparation and compilation which includes photocopying, binding, folding, etc.
  • Any other task(s) which may be assigned by the Superior
